No best side…

We think it’s important to start off talking about this subject. Most of the falls are - geographically speaking - on the Argentine Side, around 75%. There is no best side in terms of best angles or views to the Iguassu Falls. On the other hand if one has not enough time to enjoy both sides and has no walking isues, We suggest stick with the Argentine one.
We always say that: “If Argentina has most of the falls, Brazil has most of the panoramic views”. If You have any sort of walking/knee issues You should choose the easiest side to enjoy the falls, the Brazilian Side.
One side complements the other and it’s worth to enjoy both in two days, one side per day.

The Brazilian side is located in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná state, Brazil, inside of the Iguaçu National Park. Local airport is called Cataratas International Airport - IGU. Several flights in and out, most from and to Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, as business are yet recovering, international flights should be back soon. The Iguaçu National Park is the home of the Iguassu Falls, located just 5 minutes from the IGU airport. There is a Visitor’s Center with English-speaking staff to help visitors enter the National Park. The National Park has its own transportation for those who wish to go on their own for a day at the Falls. Departures every 20 minutes, also one can pay for the Entrance fee locally with credit cards. Lockers, bathrooms, cafeteria and souvenirs shop available as well. They do not accept foreign currency but You can pay with credit card or Brazilian Reais R$ 83.00 which is at the moment around U$ 20.00, depending on U$ x R$ exchange rates. You can check it and pay for it directly in the following link, which is the one for the company that runs the Iguaçu National Park - Brazil.

The Argentine side is located in Puerto Iguazú, Missiones state, Argentina. Local airport is called Puerto Iguazú - IGR. Several flights in and out, most from and to Buenos Aires. The Iguazú National Park is the home for the Argentine side of the falls, located around 20 minutes from the IGR airport. At the Visitor’s center You will find all the services provided by the Brazilian National Park, lockers, bathrooms, cafeteria and souvenirs shop. Transportation here is done by the Train of the Jungle, departing to Devil’s Throat every half an hour. One good advice is to have Argentine cash in order to pay the Entrance Fee. They accept credit cards but it’s a bit of a bureaucratic process so it’s much easier to pay in cash, currently P$ 10.000,00 which is around U$ 32.00 depending on daily U$ X P$ exchange rates. You can check it and pay for it in the following link, the official one for the company that runs the Iguazú National Park - Argentina.
